In Memory Of Steve Jobs

In Memory of Steve Jobs Steve Jobs passed away Wednesday October 5th, 2011 at the age of 56.

His vision and accomplishments have changed the world for the better. He has been compared to Leonardo Di Vinci, Thomas Edison, and many others whose deeds live on.

Steves’ impact on the planet has been evolutionary and will be felt for many years to come.

A statement on the Apple website reads as follows:

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.

Steve Jobs sister Mona Simpson delivered a eulogy for her brother on Oct. 16 at his memorial service at the Memorial Church of Stanford University. You can read it here – A Sister’s Eulogy for Steve Jobs

Since Steve Jobs passed away from pancreatic cancer there has been an outpouring of sentiment from all over the world and I got a chance to see it up close.

On a trip to a few Apple retail stores in the greater Toronto area I saw just how much people appreciated and are mourning the loss of him.

Here are just a few photos which I clipped from an iPhone video I took outside an Apple Retail Store in Mississauga, Ontario at the Square On Mall.

Apple held a memorial service for Steve on the Cupertino campus and even closed every retail store in the world so all of Apples employees could be together in person or watch by streaming video.
